Inspired by Mughal court jewelry, this exceptional brooch designed by Juliette Moutard for René Boivin consists of two united hearts in a navette form. Each heart shape centers on a cabochon ruby and is edged in gold beading. The brooch is outlined in a row of graduated pearls. Moutard frequently looked to classic Indian design motifs for her Boivin designs including her famous Hindu and Passementerie collections of the 1950s and 60s.
